- Device information such as model, operating system version, app version, locale, and technical identifiers needed for security, analytics, crash reporting, and notifications
2.3 File Access
- Access to video files selected by the user for subtitle matching
- Access to storage for downloading, saving, reading, and editing subtitle files
We do not collect your contacts, SMS messages, call history, precise location, photos, or microphone/camera data.

- Search and download subtitles based on your requests
- Send subtitle search data to OpenSubtitles only when needed to complete your search or download request

4. Why We Require User Accounts
SubPlus requires user accounts to protect the service from misuse, manage subtitle requests, and prepare account-based features. Some of the features listed below may be added or expanded in future versions:
- Misuse Prevention: Limit spam, automated abuse, excessive requests, and activity that could disrupt the service or third-party subtitle providers
- Subtitle Ready Notifications: Notify users when requested subtitles become available
- Download History: Keep track of previously downloaded subtitles across devices

- Synchronized Settings: Access preferences and settings from any device
- Request Tracking: Monitor the status of subtitle requests and automatic matching

- OpenSubtitles.org / OpenSubtitles.com: Used to search and download subtitles. Subtitle search terms, movie or series details, file metadata or hashes, selected language, and technical request information may be sent to OpenSubtitles to return relevant subtitle results.
- Analytics and Crash Reporting Services: Used to understand app usage patterns, detect crashes, and improve stability. These services may receive device, app, and crash diagnostic data.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: Used for push notifications about subtitle availability and important service messages. Firebase may receive device notification tokens and technical delivery data.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in these circumstances:
- With your explicit consent
- To comply with legal obligations
- To protect our rights and prevent fraud
- With service providers listed in this policy when needed to operate app features
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email address, account information, or uploaded/selected local files with subtitle providers unless it is required for a feature you request. Local video files are used for matching and are not uploaded by default.
8. Children's Privacy
SubPlus is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it immediately.
9. Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of SubPlus after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
